Stonewood Farm

THE CHALLENGE
Stonewood Farm sought a consultant who could toggle between grant development across a wide range of funders and savvy communications to keep their community engaged. The farm’s work is rooted in justice, spanning food access, sustainable agriculture and community development. Offering fertile grounds for stories to flourish, Stonewood Farms knew they needed a strong writer who could move fluidly between funder language and community voice. 

THE WORK

The work spans a breadth of support services including grant writing, funder prospecting, and application development across a variety of foundation funders. To keep the conversation going, I write the farm’s monthly newsletter and other communications materials, working closely with farm leadership to dig up stories that resonate with both funders and community members.
